Right to Request Flexible Working from Day One | Consensus HR – Herts & Beds
As of 6 April 2024, UK employees have the statutory right to request flexible working from their first day of employment.
Employers are legally required to respond within two months of receiving a request. Employees can make up to two statutory requests per year, and employers must handle each request in a reasonable manner, considering business needs and providing valid reasons if declining.

Remote or hybrid working
Compressed hours
Job sharing
Part-time work
